Excellent food, friendly staff. We didn’t have a reservation we were accommodated very quickly. Great produce and local ingredients. Menu is small but very focused. We had the beef sirloin and the fish of the day which was delicious!

A lovely evening at La Corderie. The atmosphere is always pleasant, under the plane tree, away from the noise often found in Villefranche during the summer. We started with a salad of artichokes and fried anchovies with aioli, followed by a very tasty grilled sea bass. The fish was cooked to perfection, kudos to the chef! A little effort would be appreciated to raise the desserts to the same level as the main courses. They are very expensive and rather uninteresting. The organic Chablis was perfectly acceptable. The service was diligent, friendly, and efficient.

Good reception. The manager offered us rosé wine...and recommended the most expensive bottle! After a decent starter, we waited a long time for our main course. The manager cleared the table of extra items (salt, pepper, oil, vinegar). We pointed out that we hadn't received our main course. She reset the table. A joke... The food was adequate. A friend, a former member of the Villefranche tennis club, continued the service with skill and expertise. And resolved the situation.
