Every year when we are in this part of France we have lunch at the Comptoir de Paris. This year the daily menu was fantastic again. We have lunched outside for three weeks during our holiday in the eastern part of the Cher. More and more restaurants are closing in this region and compared to what is left, the Comptoir is top.

We had lunch several times at the Comptoir de Paris on the terrace during the nice weather and we appreciated its location on the Place Gordaine, its cuisine with mainly the daily specials which are always very good, as for the service it was just as good.

The stars are only there for location and the sun of the day. The boss serves with a blasé air and in the order he likes. Same blasé look of the woman inside to take it.

Nice bar for a drink, which contributes to the atmosphere of Place Gordaine. I discovered picon there thanks to a friend... which shows that it's never too late to make discoveries 😅

08/09/2024: Very nice restaurant. I'm just surprised that there are so many people over 70 and not so many people aged 30/40/50. The view of the marshes is really nice with the swans wandering around. Count on the weekend 25-30€ for starter main course dessert and around 45€ with drinks included

26/09/2024: Nice lay-back pub with friendly and neat staff. Affordable good wines at the right temperature. Nice seating areas around the bar.
24/09/2024: Superb setting and very warm welcome. No star for the kitchen not having to eat.
