Don't hesitate to go to a small alley and go inside... Choice, good homemade food, balanced for all tastes. And a smile and kindness too ☺️ I highly recommend.

Excellent place for lunch. Simple menu with a good range of traditional dishes - home cooking, nothing fancy, well prepared, good value. Service quick and friendly. Distinctive laid back atmosphere suited to the quartier. Thoroughly recommended.

We had a lovely time at Comptoir de Walter. The dishes are delicious and well presented, the staff pleasant, and the perfect location in the city center, we highly recommend this address!

23/06/2024: Exceptional, wonderful. Besides that, the restaurants of the Eiffel Tower (you know what I think of Parisians...) had better watch out. The map is beautiful, clear, authentic. A kitchen, hold on tight, EX - EP - TIONAL. My regards to the chef who deserves his annual increase (we largely contributed to it!!!). Magnificent, beautiful, I don't want to come back to La Rochelle, but I want to eat here every evening. Yours sincerely Thomas

25/04/2024: Very good, attentive service and good music. Obviously, we recommend.
18/04/2024: C’est bien simple, tout était parfait. Le choix des vins intègre quelques bouteilles rarissimes. Le cuisinier est particulièrement talentueux, tous ses plats étaient fins et généreusement servis.
