We had fun touring frog leg restaurants within 30 km of Lyon! And it's always at Comptoir des Dombes that I come with my family to enjoy perfectly cooked frog legs with a delicious little gratin! Well done for a very good time!

A very good meal with authentic Dombes cuisine. We ate very well; the dishes were flavorful and the quality was clearly excellent. However, the prices are a bit high. The major drawback was the wait: we arrived at noon and didn't leave until 3 p.m. Three hours for lunch is far too long. The restaurant seems better suited to those with the whole afternoon to spare—and indeed, the clientele was largely made up of retirees 😅. I'm still giving it ⭐⭐⭐⭐ because the food truly deserves it. For the quality of the dishes, it would undoubtedly be 5 stars; for the wait, more like 2. It's a shame, because with faster service, the experience would have been excellent.

A very good, old-fashioned restaurant serving generous and authentic cuisine. The portions are substantial and the value for money is excellent. Special mention goes to the desserts, which are as delicious as they are generously served.

One morning, I had a craving for frogs' legs, but my two favorite frog restaurants were closed on Mondays 🫣. So I went to Comptoir Des Dombes.... Wow... It was worth the trip! Cool atmosphere, very pleasant staff, and above all, perfect frogs' legs—cooked and seasoned to perfection. But the quantity? That was incredible generosity! I've rarely eaten so much..... We're so glad we discovered this place, which is now etched in our memories.

Good place, we recommend this restaurant

It was entirely by chance that our son was looking for a restaurant. Without any difficulty, he got a table for three. We received a very warm welcome and thoroughly enjoyed their starters, followed by the frogs' legs and then the excellent gratin dauphinois. Dessert and coffee were also delicious. We were delighted and highly recommend them. The staff who served us were very kind and attentive to their customers.
