Le Continental sur Mayenne

The food is good and the service is excellent.

A well-known restaurant in the city center offering excellent traditional French cuisine, as inventive and generous as it is delicious, and all at prices that have remained reasonable over time. The service remains courteous and efficient, but it did become rather pushy during our last visit when it came to seating us. Seeing our hesitation, the owner spontaneously directed us to a table for two (understandable, as there were only two of us), but it was near the bar (a bit noisy) and in semi-darkness. We perhaps should have mentioned it, but we would have preferred to be near the large windows, where several tables were available at the time we arrived (around noon sharp). So, if we could be seated in the light rather than the shadows next time, and with a smile when paying, that would be perfect!

A top-notch restaurant. We ate very well. The burgers were great! And the staff is very friendly. Fantastic. There isn't much room inside, so we sat outside, but it was a square full of cars, so that was a bit of a downside. But otherwise, a top-notch restaurant.

A lovely little brasserie :) Friendly and warm welcome despite it being very busy, as we arrived late! We recommend it if you're passing through Mayenne.
