We arrived when the restaurant was full but they found a solution and we had a very good evening with perfect and smiling service. All the dishes were very good. In short, well done! Keep it up 😋

Le Comptoir des Marais in Carentan is a true haven of peace for lovers of good cuisine and local products.
As soon as you enter this warm and friendly establishment, you are immediately seduced by the cozy and rustic atmosphere that reigns there. The tables are nicely set, the servers are smiling and attentive.

I often come to the counter and yet I have never been disappointed, but the service has changed a lot, it takes 30 minutes to serve us 3 glasses even though there are not many customers. 3 servers, 1 who works 2 who prefer to chat with each other. Some servers are very professional and others not at all and are even on their phones during the service. A member of my family came and was served very poorly by an unfriendly and unprofessional waitress. The food is very good on the other hand but the service needs to be reviewed

An incomparable address to keep because not only is the waterside setting pleasant but the desserts are also free!! Impossible you tell me? No way! The restaurant achieves this feat thanks to its rather slow and disorganized room service and servers who are more busy chatting among themselves than correctly following their tables and noting down customers' dishes for their future bills. Give it a try, you never know!

We ate very well.
The cod fillet with rice and ratatouille was excellent. The gourmet coffee was delicious.
The burgers and croque-monsieurs were also very good with homemade fries.
The brioche lost with salted butter caramel was delicious.
The servers are friendly.
The setting is pleasant with a view of the port.
