We loved this place. Warm welcome and great food. Really nice location and perfect at the end of a cycle ride. For English only speakers 'Planches a' partager' means "sharing plate". Quite enough for two ... Thank you and see you again.

Le Contoir des Marais perfectly accommodated our group of 40 people: the agreed-upon meal was excellent and plentiful for a very reasonable price. The atmosphere was warm. Admittedly, there was a bit of a wait, but the food was home-cooked! We were all delighted.

This restaurant, located opposite the marina channel, is a wonderful discovery. Outside, a covered terrace welcomes you for a meal or a drink. Inside, a very warm, pub-like atmosphere surrounds you, nestled in comfortable benches, under the gaze of an impressive collection of frogs of all kinds, and lulled by a very pleasant soundscape, both in terms of volume and programming. A very pleasant meal with a very friendly, helpful, and dynamic staff (special mention to Louane and Jean-Louis). Simple but very well-prepared cuisine with quality dishes. In short, an excellent experience that I will definitely enjoy again as soon as I am in Carentan-les-Marais. Personally, I highly recommend this establishment, whether for a drink or a meal. Loved it! Went twice in a group of 6. Friendly staff, good food with big portions. Good value for money. Definitely worth a visit.
