A sublime, unforgettable journey

Too bad, the place is magical and the cuisine extraordinary but the menu imposed at dinner did not convince us: too many dishes, too rich and ingredients crushed by the preparations. Professional service, but without soul. There being 3 at the table, a guest was at the entrance to the room as the staff passed by, not really ideal for enjoying a 2-star menu at this price.

Why complain? There was nothing to criticize....it was a lovely evening in a good atmosphere with an excellent meal... Of course, the fact that there was seafood and fish, and no meat, ...

5 stars because I can't give 6... Exquisite tastings, local products enhanced by the magic of chef Roellinger's spices.... Perfect pace, very nice and not stuffy team! Thanks again to everyone for this moment!

Great disappointment with the wines... To accompany a dinner ''Au gré du vent et de la lune'' (Friday January 26, 2024), my wife and I thought that the option ''Selection of wines by the glass of the sommelier'', recommended by the service staff, could be a good choice. Our disappointment was immense! In her general presentation of the wines, the sommelier insisted on their atypical character: wines from small producers, organic, biodynamic, natural, “alive” (what does that mean exactly?) and more. Why not ? We have nothing against extraordinary wines on one condition: that they are pleasant in the mouth. It is here that the products served greatly disappointed us and, consequently, spoiled the meal. The 8 wines served were unrecognizable compared to the AOCs to which they could be related. Several of them (white and red) have a very cloudy appearance in glass (reminiscent of grape juice). Unpleasant to the eye. At least 2 almost undrinkable wines (very strong acidity, etc.). The waitress noticed this when she took back our barely opened glasses. Another surprise in this “Selection of wines by the sommelier’s glass”: the glass of cider served with… cheese! Here, in our opinion, the reputation of the restaurant would have benefited from offering an option: a glass of red wine as a replacement. No, overall, the drinks aspect of this meal (apart from the sparkling water) deeply disappointed us! Conclusion: in wanting to stand out by moving away from the good traditional wines of our renowned AOCs, and by ignoring customer satisfaction, this restaurant seems to us to be on the wrong track. Pleasantly located in the bay of Cancale, this prestigious restaurant leaves surprising taste memories resulting mainly from the clever marriage of local products offered by the sea and distant spices. The plates served follow one another judiciously to gradually reveal the flavors without saturating our taste buds as this is well done! A big thank you to the staff and chefs for this great adventure.

An Exceptional moment! No other words! Service and cuisine of a very very high level!

A delight from start to finish. Local fish are perfectly cooked and served with elegance and simplicity. The tableware has been carefully selected from local artisans. The mixture of textures, colors and the very particular accompaniment of spices are in total harmony. Each ingredient is respected. The people who accompany you throughout the meal are sincere and natural, discreet and generous with advice when necessary. The very talented sommelier advises you with great precision, but also gentleness and humility which is rare. Can’t wait to come back and taste the summer menu!
