Le Cottage sur Marly-Le-Roi

Very definitely worth the extra walk up the hill past the other restaurants. Amazing food and ambience (go through to the garden). Our second visit and certainly not our last.

A charming team, a warm welcome, a small cool garden at the back, both for lunch and a snack in the shade of the trees. Well done and thank you.

Small, typical tea room restaurant located in a pretty street in Marly le Roi. After exploring to find a French restaurant near Versailles open on Sunday 😟 our choice was "Le Cottage" It’s a nice surprise! Good welcome, we were able to have lunch in the garden. We ate very well from starters to desserts. Gravelax salmon with fennel full of flavors, excellent!, nice and original pesto burrata. Pulled pork, tartare... Strawberry cheesecake, blackcurrant Pavlova and chocolate fondant. It was very 😋 good. For four people without wine, just starter, main course, dessert, plus sparkling water and coffee it costs around 48 euros per person. A little pricey but we had a good time and ate well. We recommend!

Pleasant meal in the garden but I deplore the lack of hygiene in the kitchen!!!

While my friend and I were on our way to Monte Cristo Castle, we were hungry and looking for somewhere to eat. We were browsing the menus on different displays of different restaurants in the village of Marly-le-Roi, I heard a very pleasant "hello" coming from inside the restaurant. What do I say restaurant, we would rather have said a pretty little house, very nicely decorated with careful decoration. We were offered to eat outside in the garden. And the garden was a reflection of the interior. Pretty awnings, and other “shelters” under the trees, the sun and the little pleasant breeze. A very very good start to a lovely afternoon. Presentation of the menu and our choice is on different drinks and on the "beef rib to share", being two and given the current situation we said to ourselves that it was interesting. So we are served, very nice presentation, and the homemade pepper sauce, a real treat!! The fries, I pass the opinion on this being from Pas de Calais, we have the fries with beef fat, but they were still very good here. To finish, a little coffee or a gourmet tea with its little accompaniments, very good candied fruit cake, strawberries and whipped cream, and a macaroon. In short, it was a real delight!! and in a very beautiful setting!! The only downside, and not the least. When paying, the Cote de Boeuf to share was in fact a Cote de Boeuf to share "PER" person, therefore €22x2. It would have been interesting to better specify the menu for this dish!

Our second visit to the quaint little restaurant. The atmosphere is what we expect of a traditional French restaurant. So cosy and great music. The food is seriously amazing and the owner/ chef is a delight. Well worth the trip from Australia. Hopefully we won’t make it back again.
