Le Village sur Marly-Le-Roi

A must-try for gastronomy and the endless exploration of flavors.

It had been a very long time since my last visit, but I had a wonderful time with my partner for our anniversary. I was very surprised that the restaurant lost its star, given the quality of the cuisine. We opted for the tasting menu and were impressed by the skillful cooking, the harmonious flavor combinations, and the freshness of the ingredients. We were particularly impressed by the sea bream tartare with shiso and cucumber, the perfectly cooked langoustine, the melt-in-your-mouth sweetbreads accompanying the duck breast, and the fabulous Kobe beef. Even when it came to dessert, I'm not usually a fan of rose, but I found it very well-balanced, with complementary flavors that enhanced the main course. I also opted for the wine pairing, which included an excellent Viré-Clessé. Finally, the dining room was a delight, with the doors open on this beautiful Sunday. I can't wait to return!

We had the pleasure of discovering Le Village restaurant in Marly-le-Roi, and we left absolutely delighted. We went as a family, and every moment was a true culinary discovery. The chef offers cuisine that is inventive, refined, and full of subtle nuances. The dishes are beautifully presented, each telling a story. The service is exceptionally attentive and warm. We highly recommend this restaurant; it was a real gem that transported us.

As a regular at Michelin-starred restaurants, I was eager to try this place. To be perfectly honest, I was a little disappointed; I didn't find the expected Japanese flavors. Overall, I didn't get that "wow" factor, although the cooking was well done, and the sauce was good too, but nothing special. I was also very surprised by the price of the cocktails and aperitifs, which, to be honest, weren't very good and, above all, very expensive. Finally, we didn't have a choice of main courses, which is rather unfortunate.

We hadn't been back to this restaurant for about ten years. We were pleasantly surprised. We loved everything. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It's delicious. It's beautiful. We'll definitely be back in no time.

A cuisine of rare precision, where technique completely disappears behind flavor. What impresses most is the accuracy: perfectly controlled cooking, clean textures, and a remarkably delicate balance of flavors. Even in complex compositions, each element remains distinct, without ever obscuring the overall message. But what truly distinguishes this restaurant is its originality: the combinations are unconventional yet perfectly coherent. It's far from the usual menus, with a genuine focus on seasonal ingredients that regularly refreshes the experience. Where many seek to impress, here we find a quiet mastery, a far more demanding approach. The overall level is, in my opinion, superior to that of many highly acclaimed restaurants. A discreet yet exceptional address.

I am completely baffled by the loss of this well-deserved star. I'm not a food critic, but for me, everything was perfect, as usual, dare I say. We came to support the chef and his team during this difficult time and to enjoy the new menus, and we were not disappointed. A feast for the eyes and the palate awaited us. We will continue to come without hesitation, and I'm sure we'll celebrate the regained star next year.
