We found out about this restaurant through a blog and made a reservation. Unfortunately, no chance without a reservation. As starters we had the Thai chicken salad and the gaspacho. As a main course, the salmon on risotto and the stuffed zucchini flowers. Top quality. Preparation also top. The Michelin Guide 2021 is well deserved. However, for all of this we give it a good 4 stars. 1 star deducted for the regular "feeding". Since we didn't want dessert, the bill came without being asked. Farewell: none! We see this as a friendly "expulsion", which unfortunately doesn't fit with the Michelin award.

One of the best meals I’ve ever had in France, including much more expensive restaurants in Paris. The space is very small with most seating outside and only a short walk from Chateau de Theoule. The menus are brought to the table written in chalk on black slate. I had a lovely mussel soup with a cooked puff pastry on top (think Dum Biriyani style but soup), and zucchini flowers stuffed with minced fish and serve with wilted spinach and tomato’s and a very light cream sauce. The meal with three glasses of house rose’ was €65. The staff was very friendly and while I don’t know for sure, it gave off a family-owned, neighborhood restaurant vibe. Definitely recommend…

This family owned restaurant is an absolute Gem, only 2 minutes walk off the beach area. In brief, the food was just exceptional, from starter to desert, very genuinely creative and delicious. Don't let the facade discourage you, the chef is so dedicated to what he provides and the service is very very friendly and efficient. The "Amuse Bouche" was unexpected, the fois gras was amazing, the Fleur de Cougette and Beef were so delicious and perfectly cooked, not to mention the unmissable Mousse au Chocolat and Creme Brulee.The recommendations about the wine by the chef's wife were absolutely spot on. You will not regret this place.

To be perfectly honest in the rating, the food is OK but the prices are too high for a restaurant without a sea view. Mussels 23 euros, you will have to count 7 euros extra for a small bowl of fries. The meat dishes are good but not worth the 30 euros they cost. The staff is quite friendly but we didn't appreciate the thought given to how we each pay for our meal. 100m further on with a sea view we noticed the Bistrot de Lerins where the mussels were 17 euros.

Extra, vraiment extra, on aura eu du mal a dégoter parmi tant de restaurants médiocres sur la côte, un bon resto, sérieux, efficace avec une assiette pleine de saveurs et d’originalité. Un croque sardine, suivi de fleurs de courgettes farcies a la brandade de cabillaud et aux épices, voilà de quoi vous décontenancer, quand vous vous attendez a manger du Miko, Metro ou Davigel. Bien vu chef, vous faites l’unanimité et droit dans vos bottes vous apportez des étoiles dans les yeux de vos clients. Même si on a pas eu droit aux amuses bouches ni aux glaçons dans le seau de rosé, rassurez vous c’est bénin. Belle et heureuse saison

Es war wieder super und gut. Alles hat wieder gepasst auch der neue Rosé, der uns empfohlen wurde von der Chefin. Man einfach alles geniessen.

20/09/2024: It was perfect, nothing to complain about, nice, refined setting, pleasant and warm welcome.
15/09/2024: the context: we were two guests last evening (Saturday 09/14/2024). We had two appetizers, two starters, two main courses, two coffees and two glasses of wine. We paid €200. We chose La Maréa because we wanted to eat fish and that is the specialty of this Restaurant. The restaurant has parking. It is located on the slopes above Figuette beach and therefore has a magnificent view in the room with large bay windows. The Room itself is very pleasant, the tables welcoming and generously sized with superb rubber (?) on the ceiling for the most beautiful effect. We were very well settled, it was very cozy. The cutlery: nothing to report, very clean, pretty glasses, pretty fabric tablecloth, beautiful and large napkins. The service: absolutely perfect from a person with amazing interpersonal skills: neither obsequious nor too distant without the absolutely formal side that this position often takes on in restaurants that aim to be of a certain standard. This Service pleasantly extended the favorable atmosphere given by the room and the table. The service was a little long: 2 hours but not endless given the general comfort. My sound level meter measured an average sound environment of 70 dB, which is very good for a restaurant. The restaurant plays my music constantly, which I'm not a fan of, but which can be ignored and doesn't interfere with conversation. In short, the service is worth 5 out of 5. Bread: I often judge a restaurant not only for its dishes but also for its bread and coffee. The bread served was perfect, crispy crust and soft crumb. Aperitifs: two Spritz, one without alcohol (€12 +€12): very well prepared. Nothing to report. Starters: fish soup and 6 oysters (€22 and €22): two excellent dishes. Cancale oysters served with half a lemon and shallot vinegar rarely disappoint. They had the drawback of only being 6. The fish soup was absolutely perfect, both in consistency and taste with a saffron rouille and homemade croutons. Perfect The dishes: a bouillabaisse and a back of sea bream (€59 and €37): Nothing to say for the sea bream, cooked with precision. Regarding the bouillabaisse I only give 4 out of 5 because although the soup was delicious (the same as that served as a starter), I am more reserved for the fish which to my taste was slightly overcooked. The drink: 2 glasses of Château Minuty Blanc (€24), a wine that I love and which goes wonderfully with fish dishes. The 2 coffees (€6): nothing to report. Of course, the aperitif and coffees are accompanied by the Chef's creations, the details of which I didn't remember but they were very good. In short, despite my hesitation about the bouillabaisse, I give 5 out of 5 for the cuisine. You will leave the table with the feeling of having eaten good food in sufficient quantity and for a very good quality/price ratio, considering that we are on the Côtes d'Azur. No problem for me, I will come back on occasion with pleasure to try the other dishes on the menu which seemed very well balanced to me.
