Le Cygne sur Gundershoffen

This was our second time at this restaurant, and just like the first time, it was a first-class dining experience. The food was excellent, the service very pleasant and unobtrusive, and the pace was just right (not too slow, not too fast). We'll be back next year!

Perfect. The lamb rump steak was excellent. The foie gras was also excellent. I couldn't eat the petits fours served with the coffee. I was offered an excellent basil sorbet as a replacement. Very good value for money.

The service was perfect. One small criticism regarding the appetizer: the shrimp carpaccio. The vinegary espuma and the red spice, which I believe to be Espelette pepper (though I could be wrong), are too overpowering for my taste and overpower the delicate flavor of the shrimp. Adding more guacamole, avocado, and toasted hazelnuts would have made it even more refined. But that's just my opinion. No complaints about the rest of the meal.

I discovered this restaurant thanks to my son, and it was a delightful find! The staff is truly lovely, always smiling and helpful, taking excellent care of their customers: we were treated like VIPs 😊 The place is warm, refined, and tastefully decorated! It's gourmet cuisine, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients: a real treat for the taste buds! Moreover, they cater to their clientele (I don't eat meat or fish), and the woman immediately told me that the chef could prepare a vegetarian dish for me, which I was more than pleasantly surprised! It's refined, yet generous! They also offer a cheese plate from an Alsatian producer, but unfortunately, I wasn't able to try it, as I couldn't even finish my plate (I usually eat small portions for health reasons)... Next time! In any case, I recommend Le Cygne to anyone who appreciates fine dining. I really couldn't find a single negative point!
