Le Daroles sur Auch

I hadn't been back to Daroles for several years. The setting is still pleasant and the service lively and friendly. However, the food has declined considerably overall. Illustrating a loss of ambition, the perfect egg (a difficult feat) has become a deviled egg. A shame...

I visited on February 15th, and the food was absolutely delicious. I ordered duck breast; the skin was crispy and the meat was tender. The potatoes on the side were also very fragrant; the waiter said they were locally grown. The older waiter was very friendly, spoke a little English, and was dressed very gentlemanly. Seeing me looking at their wine cellar, he opened it for me to tour and explain which wines were produced locally and which were from France. He also introduced me to the local specialty, Armagnac. Visited on 2/15. The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered the duck breast (Magret de Canard)—the skin was perfectly crispy while the meat remained tender and juicy. The side of potatoes was incredibly fragrant, and the waiter mentioned they are locally sourced. ​The service was outstanding. Our senior waiter was very professional, dressed like a true gentleman, and quite welcoming. He even spoke some English! Seeing my interest in their wine cellar, he kindly opened it up for a private tour. He explained which wines were produced in the nearby region versus other parts of France and gave me a great introduction to the local specialty, Armagnac. Highly recommended!

We had dinner without a reservation the day before Valentine's Day. The Nataly staff and the entire team were fantastic (all dressed to the nines, very friendly and attentive). I had a €29 set menu (deviled eggs, duck confit, and dessert presented on a real slate) and my wife had a Caesar salad. The presentation of each dish was worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant, and the portions were so generous they'd make a rugby player swoon. In short, my Valentine was delighted with my surprise. Excellent value for money, superb decor. Don't change a thing. A must-try.

DAROLES always lives up to its reputation. Warm welcome, particularly pleasant atmosphere (from the ground floor to the 2nd floor), tasty dishes, good wines, top-notch, accommodating and incredibly energetic waiters! Thank you and see you soon.

The welcome is warm, the food is excellent, it's always the place I recommend to my clients because it's a true Gascon haven. Bravo!

A good New Year's Eve meal, the only downside was the email promising a dancing atmosphere, which was completely lacking. Therefore, the price was high. Very disappointed. That's all.

Amazing place!! I've been there several times for karaoke nights and the atmosphere is fantastic. The owners are great, very attentive to their customers. I've rarely seen anything like it, but it's really lovely. I highly recommend it!
