Le Dauphin sur Sees

Truly authentic hotel, well-kept rooms, apples and nuts on the bedside table, very warm welcome by Mr and Mrs, Mr is the cook and provides a wonderful dinner and breakfast with an abundance of homemade jams and charcuterie available. Recommended!

The weather was cool and wet for early September when we called in Le Dauphin without booking hoping for a late lunch at 13.30. Given a warm welcome and joined the one other table of three diners. As we were enroute to staying further south a quick, light lunch appealed. We went for the fixed three course menu and a glass of wine. Served very promptly and very hot dishes. Starter of aubergine and tomato was good. I had the hake and my partner the duck main dishes! Cafe gourmande included strawberry and raspberry dishes. All good and a pleasant glass of Bordeaux to accompany it. A very traditional feel to the dining room and met our needs very well.

Stayed for 4 days in this beautiful and charming, authentic French hotel due to car trouble. Was warmly welcomed by the owners of the hotel late on Friday evening. The hotel is located in the center and the route to it is well indicated, which is also practical after a walk through the town. The restaurant in the hotel is very good, lots of regional products, delicious dishes and entrees and a very extensive breakfast with lots of fruit. Sees as a place has a beautiful Notre Dame, palace and palace gardens, you can also walk the historic route through the place. In short, highly recommended for a stopover.

Very good stay at the Hôtel du Dauphin where we were warmly welcomed. We appreciated all the delicate attentions of the owners. The cuisine is very tasty, the dishes generous, the dishes are beautiful. The chef who is also the boss always very passionate about his job. His wife is charming and always attentive to the wishes of customers. So during your stay, where you will be well accommodated, do not leave without enjoying a good meal....

I recommend this hotel in Sées. You will feel good, there are lots of nice touches such as fruit in the room. You will be won over by the extreme kindness of the owners who do everything to ensure that you are delighted with your stay. I took an evening stopover with breakfast. The dinner was excellent, friendly service, in a warm place. The breakfast was perfect, exceptional, fresh, homemade products. A farandole of ramekins in which the chef has prepared rice pudding for you, another a cream with farm milk and many other things, we serve you very good bread with a choice of a dozen homemade jams! !! We are frustrated not to be able to taste everything. I read comments about the decoration, but I have to say the main thing is to sleep well, that it is clean, that the staff considers you, that the meals are good. Here all the boxes are ticked and brilliantly. Frankly, in this hotel, it's hard work, and we have a sense of welcome, I'll come back!

If you like standardization and impersonal establishments this is an address to avoid! On the other hand, if you are looking for a comfortable and personalized hotel with a restaurant run by a great Chef and attentive service: don't hesitate, you will not be disappointed. Breakfast is unforgettable both for the choice offered and for the authenticity and quality of what is offered. Well done !

Invités par une amie qui connaissait le lieu depuis très longtemps, et pour cause les propriétaires sont ici depuis 49 ans !!! Restaurant très agréable, très bien tenu, accueil chaleureux de la patronne. Pour ce qui est de la carte, des produits de saison, frais, regionnaux, cuisinés avec beaucoup de générosité. Des plats mijotés à l'ancienne. Le plus, des assiettes bouillantes. Plein de petites attentions pour satisfaire le client. La générosité du patron transparaît dans sa cuisine.
