Le Denis Papin sur Blois

14/3/24 still so enthusiastic. I diaper there once a week. A pleasure to go there for the taste and kindness😘 ------ From year to year my comment remains the same. Thank you for being here ! Patricia Small coffees or hot chocolate almost daily. Sometimes the dish of the day is always excellent. But ABOVE ALL, great kindness from the owners in an original, clean and warm decor. A small corner reserved for the sale of cigarettes, good wines and some regional products. And the icing on the cake: a half-shaded, half-sunny terrace at the top of the Denis Papin steps overlooking the roofs of the old town, and in the background the castle, in the historic district of Blois. Good choice of varied beers to enjoy on the terrace in fine weather. Patricia and Patrice.

Interesting vantage point, under a spreading tree. Jovial, tolerant staff who were happy to indulge my speaking French. Excellent local IPA with an IBU of 65! No comment on the food as we did not eat there, but plenty of others did.

Beautiful terrace, nice service and great food

Very pleasant lunch on the terrace! We enjoyed these homemade dishes and desserts. The owners and the waitress are adorable.

Intrigued by the Little Backpacker's recommendations, we stopped for lunch. Simplified menu, but at least it avoids frozen products... A great place, very friendly staff, and a charming setting.

I first read "homemade" in the initial review; I didn't read the second, and I booked. From the moment I arrived to the food and right up until my departure, I was delighted! The staff were charming and very professional; I thoroughly enjoyed my meal! The clientele was local, the atmosphere was peaceful, and the soap in the restrooms was neutral, which meant it didn't interfere with the flavors of the food (and that's a thoughtful touch!). If I'm ever back in Blois, I'll definitely eat here again! 😀👍

Reasonable prices, super friendly staff and owners!

The terrace immediately appealed to us, and the friendliness of the person who greeted us contributed to a very pleasant experience. The menu was simple but effective, with affordable prices.

It was around mid-August at noon. The memory of a quiet, shaded place with good, refined and original dishes. Our opinions are surely subjective, in any case for me it was a good address, a sure bet.

Pay attention to the prices before ordering: €9.60 for 2 cups of coffee with milk, totally normal.
