Le Derailleur sur Clermont-Ferrand

Excellent restaurant, perfect service, everything homemade. I chose the chicken burger and it was absolutely huge! I highly recommend it, as does my family.

Passing through Clermont-Ferrand, we stumbled upon this bar and received a very warm welcome. We decided to eat in; the food was all homemade and it was excellent. The owner and waitress were welcoming and attentive to the customers. They also have options for children. Thank you again!

A warm welcome from a fantastic staff. The place has a magnificent view of the Puy de Dôme. The bistro's interior is tastefully decorated, and the restrooms are very clean. A thoughtful touch for women is the provision of towels, which I found excellent. We were served by a very welcoming, friendly, and smiling gentleman. As we weren't from the area, he even suggested places to visit. The meal was delicious and very generous. You can tell it's homemade. The quality-to-price ratio is well worth the trip. Go without hesitation, whether for a drink or a meal.

We came for a small get-together with friends and received a very warm welcome. The owner is very friendly and always smiling, which was lovely! 😁 We chose to eat a variety of tapas, and everything was delicious 👌🏻 A nice bonus for women: clean, pleasantly smelling restrooms (so rare!) and a small box available for taking or donating sanitary pads, tampons, etc. Thank you for this thoughtful touch! 🤩

Absolutely fantastic! Seb gave us the warmest of welcomes, with his kindness and excellent customer service skills. The 100% homemade food was simply superb! Conversation flowed naturally, just like being at home. Places like this are rare! We had a wonderful evening, absolutely nothing was lacking! If you're looking for a pleasant evening with great music, a good atmosphere, and delicious food, this is the place to go!

My sweetheart and I came for Valentine's Day and it was great! The meal was excellent and reasonably priced, especially for students like us. Then at 9 pm there was a rugby match, so the atmosphere was fantastic. I highly recommend it!

Delicious duck breast and excellent French toast. The dish was very well prepared, and the dessert was served with fruit and a scoop of ice cream. The bread was also excellent. A true professional who delights his guests. Well done! I highly recommend it.

Great welcome and very good food

Passing through Clermont, I walked past Le Dérailleur and decided to stop for lunch. Great idea! A set menu of main course and dessert for €18 included a truly delicious goulash (it was the daily special, but there are other options on the menu) and a superb chocolate mousse. No complaints whatsoever. The owner is really friendly. My only regret is not having a beer (I don't drink at lunchtime) because they had a nice selection on tap (I'm a beer lover). I'll have to go back one evening and enjoy a few pints. In any case, you can go there without hesitation.
