Le Diplodocus sur Le Havre

One of the best dining experiences I've had in France. If I had to use just one word to describe it, it would be excellent. The service was truly exceptional, which is why I'm putting it first. The staff were incredibly pleasant, warm, attentive, and efficient. The food was truly excellent, with generous portions. Real French cuisine. The value for money is very, very good. The restaurant's atmosphere is also very pleasant. There was a small error with our starter order, and even though it was just a short wait of a few minutes (which wasn't a problem at all), they offered us complimentary coffees to make up for it. Nothing more to add except that it was truly excellent from start to finish. If you're in Le Havre or passing through, I absolutely recommend dining at Diplodocus.

A wonderful end to an evening in a wonderful city. On a day trip to Le Havre, we decided to choose this place for a wonderful dinner. I chose three dishes for 36 euros; my partner chose the salmon. We had a Spritz Saint-Germain with it. I'll start with the snails. I haven't had better ones in a long time. Very tasty. Very juicy. Very enjoyable. Main Course: 1. The beef and mashed potatoes were wonderful. I felt the joy of life, and it was absolutely wonderful. Very tasty, very juicy. 2. The salmon and mashed potatoes. It was a wonderful combination. Also very juicy and very tasty. Dessert: Pavlova. It's a classic. I was very pleased with the red currant. I was very happy I tried it. Cocktails: Very tasty, masterfully made. Service: I’m thankful to waiter and the owner of the restroom, you were wonderful, thank you for your concern and questions. It was so nice to feel part of this place that evening. Atmosphere: I'd say I felt like a local for a few hours. Would I return? Absolutely. It's a very pleasant establishment, very welcoming with its service, atmosphere, and the quality of the food.

Service and food were outstanding! During a two-day stay in Le Havre, we chose this initially unassuming restaurant and were not disappointed. The lovely courtyard, with its pleasant music, invites you to linger. We opted for the three-course menu for €26, which offered several options for each course. All the dishes were creative, delicious, and beautifully presented. The service from everyone was very attentive, and although we don't speak French, we were able to communicate perfectly well in English. Highly recommended!
