What a wonderful find! Not only is the view of the lake superb, but we were greeted with smiles and great kindness, even though we hadn't made a reservation. The meal was a delight from start to finish: high-quality, homemade products with beautiful presentation. A place to remember!

It's quite exceptional that a restaurant meant to be a casual, casual eatery can offer such elegant and flavorful dishes. The mussel croquettes with piquillo pepper cream were sumptuous. The apricot cheesecake was beautifully deconstructed. We even scraped the last of the caramel mousse with chocolate crumble. The restaurant's menu gives the impression of simple, comforting dishes, but it's only once you're seated at the table that you truly appreciate the work put into the flavors and presentation.

This is a friendly comment and in no way a judgment or criticism, simply a personal opinion. My partner and I came today for a meal to try out the restaurant. The parking was easy to access, as was the location. The welcome was warm and friendly, whether the smile was genuine or not, but politeness was always present. Once seated, we made our choices quickly and easily, as the menu was relatively simple without being overly extensive. The place was peaceful and pleasant. We didn't have to wait too long for our food and drinks, which was great. As for the appetizer, the shrimp cream was good, although the flavor was a bit strong, and we were expecting shrimp on top. However, this didn't spoil the experience at all; the appetizer was delicious and easy to eat. As for the main courses, everything was excellent, whether it was the burger or the fish. However, there is one small "but": the fish sauce could perhaps be spicier to give the chorizo ​​a bit of a kick and break up the rather bland flavor of the sauce. The burger was very good and generously sized. The bun was both soft and crispy, the steak was cooked exactly as requested, and the fries with mayonnaise were also perfect. Adding goat cheese with onions or other ingredients overpowers the goat cheese flavor, and I didn't really taste it with the combination of steak, bun, and salad. For dessert, the strawberry tart was very good; perhaps it could have used a few more strawberries, but that's all. The cherry tart was also quite good, but the garnish surrounding the cherry coulis was too soggy, which I think made it a bit soggy and turned my dessert into crumbs rather quickly. The food was very enjoyable, and the price was very reasonable. A starter, main course, and dessert with drinks will cost around €80 for two people, depending on your choices, which is a definite plus. Thank you.

We had a wonderful family lunch and were delighted by the setting (it feels like dining on the water, with a lake and beautiful vegetation stretching as far as the eye can see), the impeccable and very welcoming service, and the excellent food. The menu was short, which was much appreciated, and the chef even whipped up a lovely and delicious vegetarian dish at the last minute. And what can I say about the chocolate mousse? The best I've ever had! I would gladly return, and I've already told my family all about it!

Fantastic restaurant, exquisite cuisine, I highly recommend it... And the setting was perfect, I loved it!

Today, while looking for a restaurant open for Sunday lunch, I thought of Le Donjon du Bois Pouvreau, knowing it had recently reopened with two lovely people at the helm: a gentleman serving and a lady in the kitchen. And let me tell you, it was absolutely stunning, from the setting to the food... everything was more than perfect. Incredible view of the pond. And as for the dishes... top quality! Homemade... excellent! Everything deserves more than 5 stars. I highly recommend it and I'm already planning my return, knowing the menu is regularly updated and features local producers. Passing through the area, this restaurant was recommended to us by a resident of Sanxay: a delightful surprise in a very pleasant setting overlooking a pond. After a very warm welcome from Lucas, we discovered a small menu (a sign of "homemade") featuring local and regional products, deliciously enhanced by his wife, who is as skilled in the kitchen as she is charming in sharing her passion for cooking!
