We had a wonderful time at Le Donjon de Bois Pouvreau. The food was truly excellent, the service pleasant, and the setting superb. Everything was perfect for a great meal. We've learned that the current owners will soon be leaving to open Les Ouailles in La Mothe-Saint-Héray. We wish them every success in this new venture! And if they maintain the same warm welcome, the same service, and the same quality of food, what more could you ask for? Technical and precise cuisine, deconstructed desserts, all at a reasonable price.

Excellent cuisine, inventive and flavorful; everything is homemade (even the mustard). The ingredients are fresh, sourced from local producers of impeccable quality. The presentations are exquisite; the chef is an artist who delights our senses: sight and taste. In a verdant setting overlooking the pond with its migratory birds, including herons. I highly recommend it. Bravo to the chef and her team for this excellent experience!

As our holidays draw to a close... Lunch in this beautiful natural setting... We had a reservation for three. We experienced the warm welcome, the delicious food, and the service under the new owners. It was extraordinary... A top-notch welcome with a touch of humor, efficient service without any waiting, and gourmet cuisine just the way we like it... Truly superb... But we were informed that the restaurant will be closing again because the owners are leaving to open a new location in La Mothe-Saint-Héray... We will undoubtedly visit their new restaurant as soon as possible. A huge thank you for delighting our taste buds so much! 👌

This was our second visit to this establishment, this time as a family. A real treat for young and old alike. A warm and attentive welcome, absolutely delicious, local cuisine—what a delight! A sparkling and friendly kitchen team that you can glimpse from the dining room. The service is impeccable, with surprising, creative, and delicious cocktails crafted by Lucas at the bar—a delightful discovery of new flavors. Children are welcome and pampered. They loved it. We will be back for more local cuisine, a friendly atmosphere, and excellent value for money. Congratulations again to the entire team!

Simple cuisine. The dining room and kitchen together lack elegance and refinement. However, the surroundings are lovely.
