24/09/2024: We writing to review the restaurant (not the hotel!)
We arrived at Mont Saint Michel at 8:30pm on a Saturday, which is considered in most parts of the world not late, but virtually everything was already closed, except for this establishment. We read some negative reviews on Google, and were sceptical but we had no choice.
To be fair, the food was average and the table was very small. I am not going to embellish that, but one needs to consider it was the only restaurant that opens late and the price of the menu in a highly touristic area was actually very affordable and fair. Despite the crowd, the waiting staff was also very nice and the owner was also friendly, welcoming and polite.
I really would not complain about this restaurant at all and overall, we had a nice experience here.
24/09/2024: At the moment I am still sitting in the restaurant, enjoying my coffee after a delicious extensive lunch. This consisted of a salad de crudités (at least 8 types of vegetables!), a pavé de saumon, with sauce béarnaise, some mussels, a clam, mixed vegetables and rice and finally the famous tarte Normandie. Tasted great and the menu cost me €26.80 excluding wine and coffee.
It was busy, but the staff was fast, friendly and professional.
Recommended.
