We had a wonderful time at Restaurant Asten. The cuisine is inventive, original, generous, and delicious. Each dish on the menu was a true discovery and an explosion of flavor. The ingredients are incredibly fresh. The homemade sourdough bread is extraordinary. The chef announced and explained each dish in detail. Everything was perfect.

We had a reservation for 12:45 PM, but no one was there to greet us. The amuse-bouche arrived at 1:15 PM, followed by a small bowl of broth at 1:45 PM: we devoured the homemade bread and butter. The seven other courses continued until 4:15 PM. The cuisine was excellent and refined, using top-quality ingredients, but the wine was served sparingly and wasn't offered for tasting. Furthermore, the Côtes-du-Rhône was served far too cold. It's worth noting that a simple carafe of filtered water was charged at €6. In conclusion, for a menu costing €383 for two people, one expects impeccable service. While the food was undeniably excellent and the sea view magnificent, the excessively slow service was disappointing and unfortunately left us feeling let down.

We chose the brasserie today and were lucky to have the place to ourselves (wet day). We were very well looked after by Tina who explained everything to us.
The food, prepared by Sam was delicious and presented very nicely.
The Chablis was a good choice and served at just the right temperature.

We had booked dinner at this gourmet restaurant. We waited about fifteen minutes for the menu in a somewhat cold atmosphere at first, but then some soft background music warmed things up. We overheard the owner say that they were short-staffed in the dining room, hence the unusual wait.
However, everything was excellent from start to finish. The cuisine was extremely refined and original, featuring local products, beautifully presented, but the portions were insufficient.
We chose a Sancerre Blanc from a rather expensive wine list, and it was a bit of a shame that it sat on the table for about two and a half hours at room temperature. Similarly, the price of the carafe of micro-filtered water at €6 was a bit steep.
Furthermore, upon leaving the restaurant, we noticed that the owner had charged us for two set menus at €95 each instead of €69. Of course, there was no problem getting a refund when we returned to point out the error, and at the same time, a customer from the brasserie complained about a dish that was "frozen and inedible."
We expected better from a Michelin-starred establishment. All these minor inconveniences left us with a mixed impression, hence our 3-star rating, despite the food being worthy of 5.

A very nice culinary experience, but nowhere near the magic of a Michelin-starred restaurant! Children playing on a table at the entrance, the owner rushing us upstairs with two menus, clothes crumpled on a chair, other customers being seated by the little girl, 45 minutes for aperitifs—the magic touch of a Michelin-starred establishment was completely absent. The owner is managing both restaurants simultaneously, the bistro and the Michelin-starred one... truly not up to par, even if she tries her best. A chef who doesn't even bother to come to the dining room.
