We went today. The mussels are very good. The drinks (Coke) are still a bit expensive.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, as always: tomato and shrimp for a starter, shrimp croquettes for the main course, and cod loin – a real treat! We will definitely be back, especially to order the Ch'ti beef steak with Maroilles sauce again, which we had on a previous visit. We highly recommend this restaurant!

Restaurant near the beach and a free parking lot at the end of the street. Very friendly service (also English-speaking). Prices were probably reasonable for the location and time of day, but a bit high for us. Almost €12 for a small salad and almost €10 for a children's meal which included a scoop of ice cream. The pasta carbonara wasn't creamy enough for my taste; it was more like milk, and I had to add more seasoning. The pasta bolognese had a strange seasoning, so it didn't taste as good. The amount and cooking of the pasta were good, and the portion size was generous. The espresso was good and inexpensive. The restroom (unisex) was okay, but very small.

The team was very responsive, friendly, and smiling, and attentive to the customer. First visit: basic Kir, mussels, and coffee. The mussels were excellent, a good size, no tiny ones. Very good and flavorful. I'm looking forward to trying the mussels with Maroilles cheese and Roquefort, etc. Second visit: Bavette steak with fries and Béarnaise sauce. The bavette was delicious and rare, just as requested. The fries were very good, the Béarnaise sauce was good, as was the Maroilles sauce my mother ordered, which was excellent. My mother, having tried other restaurants in town, immediately told me that the mussels were better in every way. No negative points. To be continued... and thank you to the Fastnet team. The ice cream is apparently very good; from what I saw, it looked large and was very well presented. I'll try it soon.

We've come to eat waffles several times. They're excellent, and the whipped cream is always fresh. For me, a major drawback: the chairs are very uncomfortable, and the music is quite loud. We ended up getting takeout and received slightly less excellent service that way. For people with autism spectrum disorder, those with hearing difficulties, or those who simply want to enjoy the charm of the sea, the radio is a real mood killer. A shame.

21/09/2026: Excellent brasserie with a very pleasant welcome and delicious food
06/09/2026: Staying in De Panne and craving mussels, which were prohibitively expensive on the Belgian side, we headed to our neighbors to enjoy these shellfish so in demand at this time of year. We chose "Brasserie des Flandres," no doubt influenced by our Belgian origins; we received a relatively warm welcome from the owner. Bonus point: the restaurant is pet-friendly, which was a welcome bonus given the dog we were traveling with. Once we received the menu, simple, unassuming, and unsurprising, we eagerly began our meal. I opted for the garlic and cream sauce. When the dishes arrived, the owner handed me my (steaming) pot, shouting "Watch out, it's hot!" and had the presence of mind to mock my precautions. All in all, some were small in size, but the quantity was there to sustain us, and that's the main thing, the norm in an establishment of this kind. That's why my opinion will also be normal.
