Fantastic restaurant! We go there every year when we visit Arbois. It's excellent! Very tasty, beautifully presented. The restaurant is very well located. The staff is great. I highly recommend this restaurant! I'm vegetarian and they were able to prepare a special meal just for me.

A truly wonderful experience. Excellent service, kindness, and friendliness—everything was perfect. The quality of the food was also outstanding. Delicious ingredients prepared with expertise. A restaurant I wholeheartedly recommend.

Returning from Saint-Claude (where we bought locally made Pierre Vaux umbrellas despite the heatwave!) to Dole by car in the late afternoon, we decided to stop in Arbois. We had already spotted the Auberge du Fer à Cheval one lunchtime, a restaurant packed to the rafters. It was 7:30 pm, and a few customers were already seated in the shade of the trees on the terrace. We decided to stop, and we were so glad we did! A warm and friendly welcome, a well-planned seating arrangement—we chose our table on the terrace and, after an excellent local aperitif, decided to order an Arbois fondue despite the heat. The salad, charcuterie, and cheese were excellent, served with perfectly cut bread, all washed down with a delicious Jura white wine (the Béthanie cuvée). To finish, we each had a very good ice cream sundae: Griottine and Jurassienne. Two large bottles of sparkling water barely quenched our thirst. The terrace is full, and other customers are also enjoying cheese fondue. The service is impeccable, the food is good, and the setting is very pleasant despite the road nearby. The shade and a light evening breeze make the 28°C nighttime temperatures quite bearable. We truly had a lovely time.

We stopped here by chance for lunch. They were almost closing, but we were still served. There was a good selection on the menu at reasonable prices. The service was quick and friendly.

Family lunch on Sunday, excellent, very welcoming, air-conditioned room much appreciated.

A very, very good restaurant. If you're going to the Tuf waterfall or out for a walk in the area, stop for a meal; you won't be disappointed.
