A wonderful stay at this mountain hotel! The location is truly ideal, well-situated and convenient for enjoying the resort and surrounding activities. The hotel is very pleasant, welcoming, and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a day outdoors. Special mention to the staff, who are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always available. You feel right at home from the moment you arrive. I highly recommend it!

This place was recommended to me for a business meeting with my partner. We were welcomed by the staff, thanks to whom our evening went even better than expected. Special mention to Melinda and Estelle, who were excellent at welcoming us and providing impeccable service. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

This was my first time here in Val Thorens, and my first time at the Fitz Roy. I commend the organization and the staff, especially Melinda and Estelle (we had a wonderful evening thanks to you). Our initial few days at the hotel didn’t get off to the best start. However, after reaching out to the senior management team, things quickly changed for the better. I truly believe communication is key, and this experience showed how important it is to give a hotel the opportunity to make things right. Francois and Anne in the managerial team were incredibly attentive and proactive. They took on constructive criticism with professionalism and made immediate improvements. What stood out most was their genuine approach, they didn’t dismiss any of our concerns, but instead listened carefully, responded sincerely, and made a real effort to elevate our overall experience. Their willingness to act and communicate effectively turned things around and made our stay feel special. Key stand out points: - The steam room is excellent, powerful steam and heat, exactly what you need after a long day on the slopes - The house shuttle is just a great perk!! We didn’t have to walk in the cold - The food was high-quality and delicious. We particularly enjoyed the sole and spring chicken for lunch - The location is 10/10 absolutely cannot fault it incl direct access to slopes and ski room - Front of house staff have excellent English and communication skills, and made us feel very welcome throughout, even when we raised concerns - Locker room heaters worked very well and dried our items efficiently - Loved the nostalgic ephemera such as hotel stickers and ski notepad. Felt authentic and nice momentous - The wood burning fire and low lighting in the bar is cozyiest setting for unwinding in the evening Overall, despite the initial hiccups, I would happily stay here again. Knowing that the team genuinely cares, listens to feedback, and strives to improve gives great confidence in the level of service they aim to provide.
