A true culinary journey to Reunion Island, right in the heart of Tarn-et-Garonne! A wonderful discovery in Moissac! The Reunion cuisine here is authentic, generous, and wonderfully fragrant. From the moment you arrive, you're greeted with a big smile and a warmth that immediately puts you at ease. The food is flawless: The samosas and bouchons (dumplings) for starters are crispy, generously filled, and perfectly seasoned. The simmered dishes (special mention for the Chicken Curry and the Sausage Rougail) are a delight. The spices are perfectly balanced, not too hot for sensitive palates, while remaining true to the authentic flavors of the island. Special mention goes to the homemade chili paste and the traditional rice, beans, and rougail, which perfectly complement each dish. To finish on a sweet note, the sweet potato cake was delicious, not to mention a perfectly balanced ti-punch to start the evening! I went there for the first time last week and was able to try both the buffet and the à la carte dishes – a fantastic experience! The flavors were just like in Réunion.
