Very warm service. Exceptionally good food, especially the small fried Loire fish.
Here I experienced the long-awaited hospitality of Bourgogne. I was traveling by boat and when I landed I slipped on the slippery stones and fell into the water. Luckily I caught a tuft of grass and was able to pull myself ashore. But the shock remained for some time. When I finally changed my wet clothes and we (my wife and I and the little poodle) arrived at the restaurant, the time for lunch had actually already passed, but the friendly waitress organized an absolutely delicious Plat du Jour, duck legs with pasta in a great sauce. Since we were starving, this was a miracle of hospitality. I imagine France, especially Burgundy, to be so lovable and tasty. We ate there the days we were able to stay, and if we could have stayed longer, I would have eaten there every day and evening and the Burgundian lifestyle would have drawn me even deeper into the landscape and life in Burgundy. I can only say thank you for the happiness that these people and this restaurant have given me. Thank you for every impression of the Vie Bourgonnaise!
