We went on a friend's recommendation and... WE CANNOT RECOMMEND IT MORE THAN ! Excellent quality food, beautifully presented, and generous portions. And very friendly service. Very fair prices compared to other restaurants in Nice. It's not your typical tourist spot, we'll definitely be back!

My colleagues and I had a wonderful time at Fonétic. We booked in advance for dinner for four. The chef and waitress were very friendly, the food was excellent, but the highlight was definitely the menu written entirely phonetically! Quite a puzzle, but we had a good laugh reading it 😄 We highly recommend this restaurant!

The best restaurant in all of North Nice: - excellent, high-quality cuisine - generous portions, with sautéed potatoes and salad. - very popular: it's always packed. - a clientele of regulars who keep coming back Thanks also to the witty phonetic puns that bring a smile!

La Cantine de Lulu

23/09/2026: We dined here last night and we truly had a great experience. From the one server holding it down, taking orders, delivering food and handling the till, he always met us with a smile despite us being travellers and English speakers. We ordered the Duck Confit which had generous portions and I had the best crème brûlée with pine nuts. Really good quality at the price. Only thing is that we were seated outside and there were quite a lot of mosquitoes and traffic noise but we lived. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed, local vibe!
17/09/2026: I've eaten there several times. It's always delicious. In addition to the regular menu, they offer daily specials. The waiter is very friendly.
