Le Fontaine sur Saint-Maximin-La-Sainte-Baume

The waitresses are welcoming and efficient, no waiting for installation and service. The food is good: a tasty wild boar stew offered as a dish of the day...with a downside about the polenta being too dry. Excellent crème brûlée and tiramisu. For the setting and the atmosphere, it's different. It's a bar restaurant, so there's a lot of traffic, and the setting needs to be renovated. Our table, reserved the day before, was next to the kitchen serving hatch, but also the passage to the bar.. The room is very noisy and with 5 of us, we had to speak loudly to hear each other. For prices: a formula at 22 euros with dish of the day, dessert and coffee.. otherwise a la carte. Drinks: 4 euros for a coke, 6 euros for a bottle of badoit, well served. By taking the formula and a drink each, we paid 28 euros per person. It's a shame that this noise problem disrupted our meal, because it could have been a good place to remember and recommend.

On the way to the holidays we discovered this very nice, shady place, we enjoyed very fresh, hearty dishes, full of colors, top-notch service, very attentive and very good value for money, I highly recommend.

Ravie d’avoir découvert ce restaurant familial et son équipe qui nous y a chaleureusement accueilli hier midi. Nous nous sommes régalés avec le carpaccio de bœuf, le tartare de daurade, les frites maison et le tiramisu spéculos/crème de marron. Le service était très bien. Et nous avons passé un très agréable moment de partage avec Jojo, qui est adorable, avec les enfants de surcroît. Générosité & convivialité à souhait. Merci encore et à bientôt Je recommande +++

What I already remember is the welcome. Everyone is super smiling, welcoming, always a friendly little word and for that alone, thank you. As for the cuisine, we rely on traditional recipes served generously and prepared with care. The value for money is also there.

It's very good but too long. A waitress who comes and goes without seeing that we had finished and that we would have liked a dessert. And for a room that is not particularly full.
