Le Fournil d Eugène sur Palavas-Les-Flots

I visited this bakery twice during my vacation and was able to try both the snacks and the pastries. I have no complaints about either. The staff were patient, attentive, and offered helpful advice, which I appreciated. The portions are generous, sometimes a little uneven, but this is a testament to the homemade nature of the pastries. A special mention goes to the flan and the Tropézienne tart 🍰 – they were generous and delicious, unlike the frozen versions you find everywhere. I was able to eat in both the inside and outside, and the atmosphere and service were excellent. I highly recommend it.

Eugène Bakery in Palavas-les-Flots is a real gem. Located right across from the canal, it boasts a lovely terrace perfect for enjoying a coffee and some delicious pastries. The setting is pleasant, the service is friendly, and everything is fresh and homemade. Perfect for a sweet treat in the sunshine!

Just a little tip: remember to change the sound, which isn't appropriate for a tea room! It doesn't make you want to stay when you hear this kind of very aggressive music. So I got takeout.

The tea room is completely deserted due to the lack of air conditioning. An absurdity that benefits the competition. We go there mainly for the genuine smiles and friendly welcome from Mohamed and Théo, even in the scorching temperatures. The pastries are always delicious (traditional flavor, no surprise).

Hello, Having been in Palavas for a few days, I went to this bakery based on customer reviews. For my first visit, I ordered the traditional baguette (the Palavasienne)... No flavor, with a crumb as soft as a synthetic sponge, which was disappointing, especially since it's twice the price of supermarket baguettes, which, incidentally, are still better... a shame! On my second morning visit, I ordered pastries, which are industrially made, like in most bakeries. The raisin breads were okay, but the chocolate breads were undercooked. Since I'd seen that the pastries looked good, I went back the next day, and the flan was okay, but not exceptional. Conclusion: great potential due to its location, pleasant waitresses, but the bread and pastries need to be reviewed to stand out from the competition and supermarkets, otherwise why pay more for less?

Overall OK, but be careful, they serve us pastries from the day before without telling us and charge the same price as those from the same day, don't get ripped off.
