Le Freudeneck Restaurant sur Wangenbourg-Engenthal

I organized a group trip for 14 people, during which we stayed for three days at the Hôtel Restaurant Le Freudeneck. The service was excellent, the food exceptionally good, and the rooms, while not modern, were adequate and tidy. The dining room is cozy. We enjoyed the large terrace when the sun was shining. The location is perfect for tours in the Vosges Mountains. We enjoyed it so much that we plan to return next year.

The hosts were very friendly. We arrived at 7:00 PM after a 5-hour drive. We had booked a room for one night. Meals were only available with a half-board booking. However, the owner kindly cooked us a delicious meal. We'll definitely keep this place in mind for our next trip to France.

We spent two days at this hotel on a half-board basis. The welcome was excellent. Our group of 15 felt right at home. The meals were superb. The asparagus was a real treat, highly recommended. There are some lovely hikes nearby.

The food and service were very good, even if the decor is a bit dated. Prices are very reasonable. The terrace is very pleasant. Dog friendly 😉

Very quiet, very nice and accommodating hosts, very fine food, and a rich breakfast buffet.

We were hiking the GR53 and stayed here overnight. Very friendly welcome and a great room. The bathroom is a bit dated, but everything was very clean. Dinner and breakfast were ample and delicious. Highly recommended! 👍🏻
