Le Gambaro sur Hyeres

The cuisine of Île du Levant differs from that of the other two islands. Here, gastronomy is intertwined with the island's unique Héliopolis culture. One of the standout places for seafood is Le Gambaro. Located in the island's harbor, overlooking Port-Cros, it boasts a culinary philosophy based directly on the daily catch brought in by local fishermen. The menu includes dishes prepared with the fish of the day, grilled fish, lobster and langoustine, and bouillabaisse.

What a shame to be dishonest, because the food is good, the service is friendly, and the view is beautiful, but please don't mislead your customers. Despite a good meal, I won't be going back. A set menu with a starter and main course is displayed at the restaurant entrance, but it doesn't exist, and when you order fish by the 100g, you're told it's 700 grams for two fish. We specifically asked if it was 700g for both fish together, and they said, "Yes, yes." Then, at the till, we were charged twice for 700g, and the waiter assured us he had been clear. But of the four of us at the table, we all understood the same thing. It's a shame because all it would take is honesty, and we would have gone back. After discussing it with other people on the island, the experience is similar: it's good, but please be a little more honest. You have everything to gain.

We had the pizzas delivered, and they were by far the best we've had in a long time. The lady on the phone was really lovely. In short, I highly recommend them!
