We tried our luck on a Friday evening and the very charming hostess found us the last available table. Apart from a few minor details, it was an excellent evening.

A pleasant surprise for this bistronomic restaurant, which doesn't look the part but has the substance! A detail that shows they like to do things well: when you bring a small chilled white wine to the glass, the glass is chilled with a few ice cubes; in these sweltering temperatures, this is appreciated.

A very warm welcome! We were just passing through the area and arrived a little late without a reservation. We were very well received and had a delicious meal. Lots of excellent, high-quality local products!

Passing through Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, we had lunch at Le Gavroche and were delighted! A set menu of starter, main course, and dessert at a very reasonable price, all truly homemade! The pulled beef was absolutely delicious, and the roasted apricot and almond tartlet and pear tiramisu were equally excellent! A very warm welcome and a wonderful time! Thank you!

12/03/2026: Delicious meal. Adaptation of the starter (cheese allergy): Replaced with cured ham. A delight! Beautiful vaulted dining room and very large tables for two people – it's rare to see that.
02/03/2026: I would like to give a glowing recommendation for the Hôtel du Nord. We had a very pleasant night there: the room was perfectly quiet, allowing us to sleep undisturbed. Moreover, the room rate is very affordable, offering excellent value for money. My wife and I also dined there, and it was a true delight. The meal was delicious, prepared with excellent regional ingredients, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The chef showcases each ingredient remarkably well and brings out all the subtle nuances of the products. Again, the prices are quite reasonable considering the quality offered. In short, we had a wonderful time and have very fond memories of our stay. We highly recommend this establishment.
