Le Georges sur Chartres

We came this weekend to celebrate a birthday at this hotel, specifically at the La Cour restaurant, before having a drink at the Le Madrigal bar. The bar has changed a lot: it now offers a beautiful view of the bottles and the bar counter, and the lounge area is very pleasant. The La Cour restaurant, with its glass roof, is bathed in light; this Saturday, the sun was shining, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We enjoyed a delicious Coteaux-du-Layon, as well as a glass of rosé champagne, accompanied by a slice of Chartres pâté. For our main courses, we had an excellent vol-au-vent, followed by scallops served with a smooth purée and a perfectly executed gratin dauphinois. To finish, an absolutely delicious Grand Marnier soufflé, served in a small glass—a very clever touch that allows you to control the amount of Grand Marnier you enjoy. The service was expertly handled by Isabelle, who was kind, friendly, and attentive from beginning to end. She even sang "Happy Birthday" to conclude the occasion, making us feel right at home. We had a wonderful time and were delighted to meet the hotel-restaurant's chef, Georges Thomas Parnaud, with whom we chatted and took a photo. He was very friendly and took the time to share this special birthday moment with us. We will definitely be back very soon. A big thank you to the entire team.

A magnificent hotel, spacious, well-maintained, and elegant rooms. The hotel service was very professional and attentive. We then opted for a couples massage. One of the two masseuses was truly very pleasant and caring, but mine spent 50 minutes sniffing and yawning widely, making a noise that clearly showed she didn't want to be there—a wasted moment, which was a shame. We went to tell her we had put our robes back on and were ready, only to find her half-asleep on a massage table. She then took us to the pool barefoot, the soles of our feet black... For the price, I expect elegance!

We came for just one evening, which was wonderful thanks to the whole team. The only downside was the restaurant service. We were served by Valentin, who is exceptional but unfortunately a bit isolated! We will gladly return.

Dear Team at the GRAND MONARQUE, My partner and I enjoyed an afternoon at the spa with a massage on Sunday, December 21st, and I was quite pleased overall, though somewhat disappointed with certain services that I consider important. Nothing too serious, but the hammam and sauna weren't hot at all. I'm not one to complain, but it's true that you're the only well-regarded 4-star hotel in the area, so I was surprised that these services weren't working. I don't know if there was a technical issue that day, but for the price of an afternoon at your hotel, I was rather disappointed. However, I must say that the staff were very welcoming and attentive, even though this problem wasn't resolved that afternoon despite my request. Sincerely, Mr. Théo ROUSSEAU

Excellent first stay at this lovely hotel. We hope to return soon. The room was very quiet and spacious. The entire team was very welcoming and the breakfast was very generous. We also booked online at their restaurant, Les Racines, located next to the cathedral. The meal was delicious. Nothing to complain about, the whole team does an excellent job. Well done!

Very nice hotel, very well maintained, the rooms are comfortable. Excellent restaurant and bar as well.

A place with refined decor, a warm welcome, attentive staff, good lottery, very clean and cozy. You feel right at home.
