Le Gibolin sur Arles

We dined at Gibolin as a group of four, with a reservation, one evening during the week. We tried the beef tongue and roasted figs for starters, and the roasted veal breast and beef tataki for main courses (special mention to the veal sauce and the potatoes in the tataki, which were delicious, and the mustard seeds in the starters, a pleasant surprise). The portions were generous; we're quite active and ate our fill. For two set menus (starter + main), two individual main courses, and a bottle of wine, we paid €37 each. -> The service was very friendly and helpful with our wine selection, and the wine was excellent. A charming setting in the narrow streets of Arles, without being too crowded or noisy. The prices seemed fair for the quality of the food. The cuisine is very good and refined, typical of Arles (check local reviews to be sure). *Note that we were 5 minutes late and were called to confirm that we were still coming. We were expecting a somewhat rushed service, in order to make room for a second service, but ultimately we did not experience any problems with that.

We're on holiday in Arles, and Michelin was absolutely right to award it a Bib Gourmand. Our favorite bistro, without a doubt! The food, the atmosphere, the service—everything was perfect. We felt right at home. The beef tongue was to die for, and the chocolate mousse was incredible with its candied and dried olives. We highly recommend it.

A small restaurant I discovered last year, truly excellent, serving Lyonnaise cuisine with just the right touch from the chef, without ever compromising the integrity of the ingredients. Returning this year, even better: tongue with gribiche sauce and green bean salad, followed by perfectly pink veal liver – a delight from start to finish. Excellent wine selection and very helpful recommendations. Impeccable welcome and service.

Great spot in Arles! Excellent value for money. Beautifully prepared dishes, good wine, a lovely terrace, and top-notch service! A very pleasant waiter. We'll be back!

My husband and I had very nice lunch at the restaurant. The team was polite and friendly. They explained to us in English the whole menu and was always available for us. The food was excellent, very fresh with seasonal products. The wine as well. Very reasonable prices. Thank you!
