Le Gourmand sur Sete

A wonderful discovery away from the crowds on the quays.

This is such a lovely restaurant that is run by a lovely couple. The food was delicious (really, do not skip the desserts!), but what really made the meal for me what the hospitality and caring of the woman running the front of the house. She brought my two year old coloring pages and a very cute bib, so he didn’t get pasta sauce all over himself. It’s these little touches that make such amazing memories. Thank you for the amazing hospitality!

For the umpteenth time, we came to enjoy Michel's dishes. This time, an excellent carbonnade awaited us. Hearty and delicious, just as we've come to expect from this establishment. His partner, Monique, is as bubbly as ever. We always return with great pleasure.

From cuttlefish razor clams to octopus or beef macaroni, everything is fresh and expertly seasoned by this true Sète chef. It's impossible to resist a homemade dessert when the chef is also a pastry chef. A warm welcome from his wife and reasonable prices await you – you won't regret it!

A delightful little traditional restaurant in Sète! The owners are incredibly friendly. People come here for the chef's menu, which is perfect from start to finish, showcasing the best dishes fresh from the harbor: razor clams with parsley and garlic, a remarkable octopus salad with aioli (absolutely divine)... The other dishes are simpler but delicious, like the macaronade, cuttlefish with spaghetti, etc. The desserts are excellent; we highly recommend the red berry tiramisu! This restaurant deserves to be much better known for those who want to finally experience a truly traditional meal!

A must-visit for Sète's culinary scene, a regular stop on every trip since it opened in 2013. Monique welcomes you with a smile and genuine warmth. She offers advice and answers all your questions about the dishes. Michel, the chef, is as colorful as his cuisine is delicious and generous. Everything is homemade with passion. A tip: go on an empty stomach! 😂 A "little" gem that's well worth the detour!
