Le Grand Bol sur Paris

A small restaurant with simple decor and, in my opinion, rather stiff benches. For our meals, we ordered some new dishes from the menu: pork ribs, tripe with vegetables in an earthenware pot, salt and pepper shrimp, and eggplant with vegetables. Personally, I didn't order anything, but the fat content was off-putting, as I had to use the restroom several times that evening. The dishes weren't bad in terms of taste, but they were very greasy, and as some other customers have mentioned, the portions were quite small; everything was cut very thinly and into tiny pieces. It's a shame; I've had better.

Le Grand Bol has become one of my favorite places and a must-visit, a place I never miss with my friends. The dishes are varied and delicious. You never get tired of them. I'm writing this review thinking especially of the duck and cuttlefish, which are, I confess, my favorites. You feel good in this restaurant, you're warmly welcomed, generously served, and you leave happy, full, and smiling. In short, I love Le Grand Bol.

Le Grand Bol is a place we always find ourselves returning to in Paris. It was first recommended by my son, who spoke of its remarkably fresh Chinese seafood, and from the first visit, it truly lived up to that promise. The ingredients are fresh, the flavours honest, and every dish carries a quiet sense of care. The owner brings a warm and effortless hospitality that makes you feel instantly at ease, adding a personal touch that stays with you. Over time, this restaurant has become part of our Paris routine. Each time we travel from London and Zurich, we make a point to come back for a meal that feels both familiar and comforting. A place not just to dine, but to return to.

One of Belleville's best spots. Lots of regulars. The food is good and the atmosphere is welcoming. Xiaolongbao, garlic-fried cuttlefish, and Peking duck on a bed of eight-treasure rice. Authentic Long Jing tea. No surprise, the staff comes from Suzhou, near the region that produces this nectar. They had some rarer dishes, but we opted for the familiar ones. No regrets.

A very warm welcome. The food is simply excellent. I highly recommend it.

Excellent Chinese restaurant, highly recommended. I am a Chinese food fan and here I had a fantastic (very spicy) fish soup, a huge portion, and my partner a crab rice that she will remember. The restaurant seems specialised in fish and sea food, I have seen customers having clams and scallops . Wine at very good prices half bottle available. We will definitely come back when in Paris!
