We got into Bordeaux late afternoon - starving. I’m happy I did not read the reviews before we dined here. They were pretty bad. Perhaps they have improved although the service was slow. It was the only place we found there were no smokers. The food was great. The nicoise was an ample portion of fresh crisp lettuce, the peppers were a nice touch. The tuna and white anchovy were fresh and tasty. Our friends ordered a cassoulet with mushrooms & chicken with magnificent sauce and a salad with a giant bowl of Brie and French fries. Not my type of dish but she totally enjoyed. The St Germaine spritzer was the best I’ve had this trip.

good welcome good service unfortunately on the terrace many smokers on all sides and with the absence of wind under the large parasols we eat in a smoky atmosphere of the 80s. Too bad the large café encourages customers to smoke by putting ashtrays on the tables. we had smokers on each side it was very annoying

Dear friends
While passing through Bordeaux, I went to the grand café. What to say? The experience was very pleasant and it is a very good quality restaurant. Fast service, friendly atmosphere and delicious Caesar salad. However, the sea tartare slightly lacked finish and seasoning. Overall, it is a recommendable place if you are visiting Bordeaux. Holy Virgin Mary, we are received here as ambassadors, and not those of a third world country (Togo style) here I am talking to you about a US ambassador. Great lord that we eat well there I ate a senator vindieu breast this duck I am sure it was going to basic fit as it was so plump. And their mushroom sauce, oh lord jesus mary joseph the great Phillipine Duck appeared to me from the kingdom of heaven to designate him savior of the ducks my libido was strengthened.

I loved this restaurant, I was there twice, both were pleasant, the service is fast and professional, you pay a little more than in a small restaurant, but the place is great and we have something for our money in terms of quantity/quality!

We made it our Monday lunchtime canteen. Menu at €10.40 with a glass of wine. It's simple but it does the job for a weekday lunch. The menu is not limited to that of course and the other dishes are well made and well served. The staff are pleasant but very busy.
