Le Grand Café sur Vienne

A discovery on Sunday the 6th at lunchtime. A truly great place with a varied menu and reasonable prices. Excellent service, quality food, and a very reasonable bill. And as a bonus, a complimentary small glass of homemade rum to finish the meal. A very positive experience.

The meat trio was delicious and of good quality, cooked to perfection, showcasing just the right amount of flavor. And THE dessert! Finally, a Baked Alaska worthy of the name! Flambéed right in front of you! Not that flimsy thing you get served elsewhere. The staff was pleasant. We truly enjoyed our meal.

A very pleasant setting, both inside and out. Friendly and efficient service staff, and excellent, varied cuisine. A must-try if you're in the area.

August 20, 2026 My husband and I had the set lunch menu for just under €20 (starter, main course, dessert, drink, coffee), and two children's menus for €10 each. The prices were more than reasonable! 👌👌👌👌 The tuna and tomato tart was excellent, even though I don't usually like it. The meat skewer was also excellent. Excellent quality! My husband's dessert was the incomparable chocolate mousse... Absolutely divine! 🫠 I ordered a banana split outside of the set menu... I struggled to finish it; it was enough for two. We also had beer and wine. My children had nuggets and hamburgers, drinks, and dessert (ice cream or waffle). It's a shame we were just Belgian tourists passing through. We would have made this our go-to spot on days when we just don't feel like cooking 😉 AN EXCELLENT PLACE TO EAT WELL 😋 THE REST OF THE MENU WAS ALSO APPETIZING AND THE PRICES WERE MORE THAN FAIR

We ate well, however the wait was very long which greatly disappointed us.

The service wasn't great! We were looking for a smile! We ordered mussels, which weren't anything special, and what's worse, they only served us fries after we'd finished eating! We won't be back!

I highly recommend this restaurant. The staff is very friendly and there's something for everyone. I loved the prawns 🦐 – they were excellent quality.

The place is nice overall... there were four of us. All the dishes were good, as was the staff. I give it 3 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟. Regarding the mussels, I give them one star 🌟. Supposedly mussels marinière. Mussels cooked in water and their own juices. No herbs or onions. Moreover, they were overcooked and therefore dry. All this for 20 euros. On the coast, it's three times better for much less money...
