Le Grand Joseph sur Chambery

Thank you to the wonderful team and chef who allowed me to breastfeed my daughter peacefully and discreetly without ordering anything; their kindness will make me want to come back and try the food, which looks amazing.

What can I say except thank you. Exceptional quality and service, we highly recommend it. Bravo, we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Excellent restaurant in Chambéry, the dishes and desserts were truly top-notch, ideally located near the castle, with young and friendly staff and an original menu. The main course was perfect, creative, and delicious. The dessert was also very, very good. As for the starter, the terrine was really good, but the gherkins didn't complement the pickled onions. It would have been nicer to use only homemade pickles rather than these gherkins, which ultimately detracted somewhat from the starter itself. The trout gravlax was excellent, although the portion was a bit small for a starter on the menu. Regarding the wines by the glass, we wanted to try the rosés; the one that was closer to a white wine was excellent, while the second, a rosé, was quite average. Overall, a very good experience, a pleasant setting under the plane tree and parasols, and despite the sweltering heat, we had a very good time.

Well located outside the shopping area of Chambéry. Original cuisine.

Not being from the area, a friend introduced me to this place. I'll go back without hesitation. Real homemade food, and that's so refreshing! A superb terrace shaded by leaves. And a wine and champagne list that you rarely see in this type of restaurant! We had a wonderful time!

A wonderful discovery during my visit to Chambéry. The pork was delicious, the black pudding was melt-in-your-mouth flavorful, the desserts excellent… refined and authentic cuisine. Impeccable service, just right! A must-try! Thank you.

Delicious and healthy confit pork - highly recommended. Thirst quenching pression (draft beer) and perfect local wines. Friendly and charming staff.

Excellent meal, beautifully presented dishes, delicious food. Pleasant dining room, attentive service.

Superb location with exceptional views of the Savoy castles of the Dukes, superb, friendly, and helpful waitresses, fast and professional cuisine. I highly recommend this experience.

We spotted this restaurant - in a stunning location - whilst walking around Chambery. The menu is varied but we opted for the 'Menu Bistrot' which was great value at €38. The first courses were good, but a little heavy and lacking precise flavours. The dessert was excellent - a light strawberry pavlova - perfect on a hot day.
