Le Jardin Les Crayères sur Reims

A delicious dining experience I chose the set menu. The white asparagus was delicately textured with an excellent sauce. The slow-cooked oxtail was tender, with a rich blend of red wine sauce and the fat from the beef marrow. The dessert featured lemon curd in a molecular form. Paired with a subtle minty coolness, the slightly noticeable acidity was refreshing.

About Brasserie Le Jardin: The restaurant offers a very pleasant experience in terms of both ambiance and cuisine. The atmosphere is elegant, refined, and charming, ideal for a special occasion. The food is beautifully presented, with visually appealing dishes made from top-quality ingredients, demonstrating careful and discerning cooking. However, my rating is lowered due to two significant issues. First, the service: it was VERY SLOW. We ordered a tasting menu, and the wait between courses was excessive, exceeding 20 minutes on several occasions. We had to ask several times for them to continue serving, and if we hadn't already been on the third of five courses, we would have considered canceling the experience. The second negative point is the price of the drinks, which is EXCESSIVELY HIGH. The champagne is practically unaffordable, and even opting for a mid-range wine that was recommended to us, the price was €100, and I've had much better for less. This borders on exorbitant prices and completely undermines the value for money. In short, a place with great potential due to its atmosphere and gastronomic quality, but penalized by overly slow service and disproportionate drink prices.

We had a wonderful meal: fresh ingredients and sophisticated flavor combinations. Prices were on the higher end. Attentive service should be maintained, especially with the wine. Magnificent setting!

A very pleasant surprise! This is a high-quality brasserie with a short, well-executed menu. The setting is superb and the atmosphere intimate. Prices are a bit higher than elsewhere, but the quality of the dishes justifies them. A highly recommended stop in Reims.
