Great atmosphere, calm, the daily specials and pastries are excellent

Very nice place. Good food, nice service.

Everything is great, the service is top-notch too. We had a set menu: egg mayonnaise followed by chicken leg with homemade fries, and for me, a religieuse pastry... At under €20 (€19.90), I think it's a really good price that meets people's needs at lunchtime, etc.

Had coffee on the terrace with friends

It's so pleasant to have lunch on the terrace on a sunny day. And that's exactly what we did on the terrace of the Le Jeanne Hachette restaurant in Beauvais. Enjoying delicious food at reasonable prices, served by friendly and pleasant staff, our meals were more than satisfactory.

You know that feeling when you're in France and you want to eat French food, but the places where you can eat inside are closed. Then you have to venture out a bit and just go somewhere. This is a bit of that kind of place. The restaurant itself is in a pretty nice spot on the edge of the city's large square and if you eat on the terrace the atmosphere is immediately good. There are dogs and wild dogs running around, locals kicking a football in the square and begging to go. So five stars for the atmosphere, the restaurant is clean inside too, but it feels more like a café/bakery than a restaurant. The menu itself promises a lot, but at this point you can hit a wall with the service. On to the next thing (never mind native language teachers) You can't get service in English. A young waiter from the Z generation said that the customer service situation with customers who spoke little or no French was too stressful, as many young people of that generation experience. Many young people find difficult or challenging situations stressful and discomfort is confused with anxiety. The greeting was successful in English, but that young man slipped in when we started to see the menu and sent his more experienced colleague to deal with it. That colleague didn't speak a word of English, but now things started to progress, because with a little self-taught French, sign language and waving, the order was taken. This cheerful and cheerful waiter even came to ask how things were going, even though there was very little common language. We would have liked to eat from the daily menu, but the language barrier was too high and the rude gen-z who had just stated that they no longer had that available, so we took burgers. They were pretty mediocre basic French burgers with a kilo of fat. Nothing amazing, but the hunger moved on. Maybe if I had had the time to snack, I could have had something else, but sometimes you just run out of energy and the waiter gets the upper hand. If I came to this place again, I would probably just have coffee and buns. The buns on display at the counter looked delicious. But whoever complains about the service in the reviews of this place is probably just a little antisocial or bad at communicating. The service was quite good and cheerful, even though there was a terrible lack of common language.

The Asian waitress is very charming and kind to all customers.

Great pastry, tea, and ice cream selection. Good service, they understood us even though we spoke no French. Everything we ordered tasted great, I only wish we were in the city longer to try more of the menu!!

I came for a bachelorette party, and it was a very disappointing experience. We waited an hour for drinks and an hour and fifteen minutes for our starters, with several reminders required. Then, everything happened in a rush. We had to eat in 45 minutes instead of the two hours allotted, and leave with our desserts to go. But the most shocking thing was the management. There was only one waitress for the entire terrace, left to her own devices, running around until she broke down and started crying. The manager only intervened very late. It's unacceptable to treat customers and staff this way. Management needs to take a hard look at themselves. I do not recommend this establishment.

The meal was good but we waited almost 50 minutes for our toilet paper and over an hour for our starter.
