I was impressed by the dynamism and creativity of the Lieu Unique. It boasts superb exhibitions and a friendly atmosphere. A pleasant café, a fascinating industrial building, and numerous cultural events. A great way to spend a few hours in Nantes.
Housed in the former LU biscuit factory since 1 January 2000, the 'Lieu Unique' is a friendly, cultural melting pot ripe for artistic exploration. The LU Tower, built in 1909, was an advertising column in honour of the LU biscuit brand. The famous biscuit tin is 38 metres high and stands above an allegorical statue of Pheme and six constellations. The LU Tower, which disappeared in 1974, was restored to its original state when the factory was converted into a national arts centre.
Throughout the year, the Lieu Unique offers an international programme that presents performing arts, music and contemporary art to the public, and also hosts various festivals. On weekends, the bar is also a venue for DJs and concerts. And don't forget to sit on the terrace for a drink in the evening with the sun. It has a relaxed atmosphere
An iconic and unique cultural venue in Nantes. Former LU biscuit factory transformed into an art space, bar, bookstore, and rooftop. A varied program and an inspiring atmosphere. A must-see! 🏛️🎭🍸
