The two girls who served us were exceptional: since I have dietary restrictions, they went out of their way to allow us to have lunch, even though it was already past 2:00 PM. A special thanks also goes to the kitchen's helpfulness, unlike other places in the area that wouldn't even let us in. This gesture made us immensely happy. Thanks again for everything. 🙏💐

The place is nice, located on a small square in Selles-sur-Cher. The set menu is reasonably priced, but the à la carte options are a bit more expensive. I opted for the €27 set menu: starter, main course, and dessert. The herring and potatoes were very small, consisting of just two tiny pieces of herring. Next came the andouillette and fries, which was very good. The dessert, a strawberry cake (perhaps store-bought) with a few pieces of strawberries, was not bad.

We went there for a drink around 7 pm. We received a warm welcome; they had already set the tables for dinner, but they made room for us, and we were well served: a cocktail, a beer, two lemonades, another cocktail, and an appetizer platter with charcuterie and cheese.

Staying for one night in an Airbnb, we were looking for a restaurant and we weren't disappointed with Le Lion d'Or.
The meal was delicious, we have nothing but praise, and we were even able to share a dish with our children.
The staff were friendly, the waiter was very kind, and the lady didn't hesitate to give us advice about visiting Beauval Zoo the next day.
