Le Lion Verd sur Putanges-Pont-Ecrepin

We love this place. We have been staying here for many years and seen a number of owners who struggle to make a success of this hotel despite it's lovely location in the middle of a typical french village alongside the river. The rooms could really do with updating but they're clean (no Aircon). The food is good and not expensive and there's a lovely terrace for drinks or outside dining. Whenever we've been the large restaurant has always been quiet although the fact that we usually stay on a Sunday might explain that. The village and nearby reservoir are worthy of your time.

We came just for dinner, and the welcome was very friendly and warm. The staff were attentive to our comfort and our enjoyment of the meal. We ate very well (too well, actually 😂...). The value for money is quite reasonable, and the location is ideal. We had a very pleasant evening. Thank you for your kindness.

A place you absolutely must visit; everything is fresh and homemade. The terrace setting by the river is fantastic, and the welcome is warm. Everything is perfect.

We were there as a family for a nearby wedding and we had an extraordinary weekend in every way. The welcome from Vincent, his wife, and his team was so attentive... so rare. The dinner and breakfasts were excellent. I highly recommend this place. Keep up the good work! Thierry and Isa
