Le Lirot sur Le Crotoy

We stopped by somewhat by chance, but it was a pleasant stop. The welcome and service were excellent. Arriving with a beach cart and a large table, we received a very warm welcome. The dining area is rather small, but the pizzas were delicious and we were served with a smile. I highly recommend it.

We stopped there for lunch to eat a pizza. Excellent and a wide selection on the menu.

The service was polite and friendly. As the only pizza place in the area, we had to wait 40 minutes for our two pizzas. Unfortunately, they weren't cooked through and we couldn't finish them. Whether it was due to their poor French or their lack of English, the order was wrong, even though I showed them the two pizzas I wanted on the menu.

Je n’appellerais pas cet endroit un restaurant, mais plutôt un mélange entre le bistrot du coin et une soirée entre copains devant un match de foot. Nous avons commandé à emporter trois pizzas et une portion de frites (45 €). Les pizzas sont globalement plutôt bonnes, même si la sauce tomate fait davantage penser à un concentré de tomate premier prix qu’à une vraie sauce maison. Les frites, en revanche, étaient catastrophiques : on aurait dit celles de chez Lidl. Des morceaux de toutes les tailles, mous, sans goût… on se demande presque si elles n’ont pas été récupérées au fond de plusieurs paniers. Le plus déroutant reste l’ambiance. Si vous aimez les établissements où ça hurle d’un bout à l’autre de la salle, vous serez servis. On a davantage l’impression d’assister à une troisième mi-temps qu’à un service de restauration. I was also surprised to see several people going back and forth between the bar and the kitchen, even though they didn't seem to have any role in the kitchen. And to top it all off: the cook walked into the kitchen letting out a huge belch. It might seem like a small detail, but it's definitely not the kind of scene that inspires confidence while you're waiting for your meal. The staff is welcoming, but between the atmosphere, the seemingly haphazard organization, and what we witnessed, you end up wondering if you might leave with something other than what you ordered.

We took a short break on the pedestrian street and had some pizzas which were very good. A little oregano on top would have made them even better... The other customers' dishes also looked very appetizing. I recommend it. The welcome and service were excellent.

Excellent experience! I ordered a Savoyard pizza to go and it was absolutely delicious: generous, well-topped, and perfectly cooked. The owner is a very friendly, warm, and extremely approachable person. Everyone is on a first-name basis here, which creates a welcoming and authentic atmosphere. He even kindly offered me a drink, a very thoughtful gesture that's always appreciated. A fantastic welcome, excellent pizzas, and a truly cheerful atmosphere. I highly recommend it! 🍕👍
