Le Local sur Dole

Everything you could want on a Sunday afternoon: good food, a great atmosphere, excellent service, and little fish swimming just below in the clear waters of the Doubs River. Perfect! We'll be back.

Never disappointed, a sure thing!

We arrived unexpectedly with our dog and were welcomed like royalty. Excellent value for money, exceptionally kind service. We were able to take our time to savor each dish. The place is also absolutely gorgeous. The grand finale, the stunning postcard view when you leave the restaurant at nightfall. Thank you for this wonderful evening.

A very beautiful spot, right on the Dole canal. A minor drawback: the service was a bit disorganized. We forgot a dessert and had to ask for it. The waiter couldn't remember which table it was for 🤔 There was an ant in the grenadine and the wrong sauce (hot sauce) in the kids' burger.

A very good experience: A restaurant I would gladly return to. My only regret is that the monkfish sauce was a little too bland: I was expecting more curry!

The setting is very pleasant, and the seasonal menu is simple but effective. However, we had an unpleasant surprise with the drinks: we were offered a carafe of water, but were brought two, one of which was sparkling water (which we hadn't ordered). Thinking it was included, we drank a glass… which was charged at €4.50 when the bill arrived. This is a shame, as it gives the impression of a lack of transparency, or even upselling. Following the owner's response: We could very well have missed it; it was just a coincidence that we looked at the receipt after we left, which we had requested for our daughter's travel journal. We're probably too naive, but I didn't think a carafe of fizzy water (like soda) could be charged at €4.50. It's a real shame and it costs you 2 out of 5 stars, because I don't believe in the simple error theory, sincerely hoping that your employees and future customers will be more vigilant than we were...

We had a wonderful time. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed and at ease. The food was truly delicious, prepared with care, and you could tell everything was made with passion. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Honestly, it's the kind of place where you leave happy and wanting to come back. Thank you for this lovely experience!

In Dole, I found most of the restaurants mediocre. Truly, congratulations! A top-notch menu, everything was excellent, especially the ravioli, even though choosing was difficult. Well done! You don't have much competition in Dole for the quality/price ratio.
