Passing through Carcassonne, we wanted to grab a bite to eat before visiting the citadel. We found Le Lotus d'Or on Google and were honestly not disappointed. The service was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the owner was incredibly kind. We'll definitely be back.

Excellent restaurant, great food made with fresh ingredients, calm atmosphere (Tuesday lunchtime), and plenty of comics to keep you entertained while you wait! Please note: they do not accept credit cards.

12/07/2026: The food was bland and had hardly any flavor. We ordered a beef dish with bamboo shoots, and the bamboo shoots were tough and very fibrous—inedible and lacking in flavor compared to what we're used to in Spain, where they make them with a stronger, more flavorful dish. The spring rolls were okay, and the chicken salad was fine too; it needed a white sauce like they make in Spain, which is very good, but they don't prepare it properly here. The worst part was the beef with bamboo shoots; the bamboo shoots were very tough and chewy with a lot of fiber.
12/05/2026: A truly welcoming and warm lady. The food is absolutely excellent and plentiful. Go for it!
