Le Macareux sur Pleumeur-Bodou

We spent two weeks on holiday in Landrellec and ate at Le Macareux twice. The first time was on my birthday. It was outstanding. From the appetizer to the dessert, simply delicious. The little amuse-bouche was a delight. The service was exceptional, incredibly friendly, and patient with my limited French (I haven't spoken it in 40 years), but everything worked out perfectly. On the last day of our holiday, we simply had to eat there again! 😉 It was excellent once more. The restroom was clean. Opposite the bar, there seems to be a regulars' table; we felt completely at ease. It was lovely to see young and old sitting together, enjoying a drink and lively conversation. We are so glad we found this wonderful restaurant. Many thanks! 😊

Another detail that might make others laugh: it was ChatGPT who recommended your establishment to us!!! And we ordered a lobster! We received a fantastic welcome! We've never tasted such a delicious lobster! It was wonderfully prepared! Thank you to the Chef!!!!

On September 12th, we had a wonderful meal with our English neighbors! A beautiful menu, prepared with care. We had made a reservation. A top-notch lunch!

We enjoyed a delicious café gourmand on a lovely terrace with a wonderful view. The lady was very friendly, and the restrooms were spotless. There was a lot of laughter at the bar. Ordering and payment were only possible at the bar, and card payments were only accepted for amounts over €20, as is often the case in rural France. Knowing this beforehand made it easy, though.

Seriously! The service was SUPERB because the owner really paid attention to her customers, the whole MENU was EXCEPTIONAL, the weather was a BLAZING BLUE SKY, high tide with a comforting little breeze in 39°C heat, and the LOBSTER was to die for, but best of all, it was pre-cut. In short, just go! Thank you
