Le Mahal sur Saint-Genis-Pouilly

We went there on a Saturday evening. Unfortunately, we found the portions too small for the price – for example, a chicken dish costs €19, and rice has to be ordered separately. We then ordered one portion of naan, but were brought two. When I pointed this out to the waiter, he said "no problem," we could keep it. However, the bill at the end included both portions. Overall, we were disappointed with our visit. It will be our last time there, and we unfortunately cannot recommend the restaurant.

Disappointed with the welcome and service. The menu has changed, and the prices have become expensive for the quality. There was a hair in my dish; they replaced it, of course, but there was no discount on the bill. I find this unprofessional. I used to like this restaurant, but I won't be going back.

Got twice take out with a variety of chicken and lamb from the menu. It was great each time! Only once, the person at the reception could have been a bit nicer, but great overall.

I've been several times and also ordered takeout; the food is very, very good. The place is nicely decorated. But the service is always a bit complicated. Tonight it was beyond bad. The service was chaotic and disorganized. People were eating their desserts while the table was still full of food, and yet there were barely twenty of us. It's a shame, but next time we'll stick to takeout.

Very good food in great quantities. A lot of options even for people who don’t tolerate spicy food so well :) Recommended!

Beautiful restaurant, excellent food. Be warned: some dishes are very small, probably meant to be accompanied by rice, which is ordered separately from the main course.
