The place is ideal. Excellent cuisine with good, soft music that is not too loud. I will go back there with my darling 🥰🥰

Delicious food and lovely staff!

Very nice surprise near Matabiau station in this African restaurant with careful decoration and warm welcome. A menu for less than €30 tempted me and I ordered a cod Chicktay, followed by an excellent mafé beef to finish with a coconut blancmange...leaving the table satisfied and happy, what else?

I started with the Avocat Créole, which was a refreshing and flavorful appetizer. The creamy avocado paired beautifully with the vibrant Creole spices, making it a perfect start to the meal. For the main course, I chose the Échine de porc - cannelle et coriandre. The pork was tender and juicy, with the cinnamon and coriander adding a unique and aromatic twist. Each bite was a harmonious blend of flavors that left me wanting more. To finish, I indulged in the Blanc Manger Coco caramel. It was a little too sweet for me but overall, it is still a good ending for my dinner. The ambiance was warm and inviting, perfectly setting the stage for a delightful meal. At a total of 28.8 EUR, it was excellent value for the exquisite dishes and the wonderful atmosphere.

We discovered this restaurant for the first time and we were not disappointed, a very warm welcome, excellent food and a really nice setting where you feel good. We will come back for sure.

I regretfully downgraded one star. I have known this restaurant for over 15 years, I went there regularly before leaving town, I even proposed to my wife there 10 years ago. After several years without going there, we went back last night. The atmosphere, the dishes, the service, everything is as before... a real treat! Certainly the toilets could do with some updating, but we don't eat in them... I'm taking one star off for the price, because the prices are higher than before. Is inflation to blame? Rent? I don't know, but it's a shame. Extremely disappointed with the mint tea otherwise, I was hoping for more than a Twinings sachet. In any case, it is an institution because it is rare to see good addresses lasting so long. We will return there, but not more often, wallet obliges.

Great find in this perpendicular to the Jean Jaurès aisles which could have gone unnoticed, the meals were provided and delicious and the atmosphere was intimate and soothing. I will come back with pleasure.

Nous sommes allé au Mami-Wata sur la recommandation d'une amie. C'était franchement très bon, les entrées comme les plats. Le service est très agréable, même si le temps d'attente des plats est un peu long. Mention spéciale pour le piment maison, franchement très bon. Bon rapport qualité-prix, nous y reviendrons avec plaisir.
