Le mejane sur Saintes-Maries-De-La-Mer

We loved the horseback ride. As a family, surrounded by nature, amidst coypus, ibises, and flamingos, with explanations from our guide. We recommend it to everyone.

We stayed for eight days at Domaine de Méjanes, in Marius's house. We spent a peaceful week surrounded by bulls and horses with extraordinary people who taught us so much about their different trades. They are passionate individuals who know how to share their knowledge. A huge thank you to them.

Visit with my school (4 classes from CP to CE2). Magnificent estate, lovely presentation of Camargue bullfighting in the arena with a very engaged and helpful gentleman (a microphone would have been welcome, especially for the people to our left who were from another school and probably couldn't hear very well). Afterwards, picnic in a very spacious, semi-covered area, perfect for the students, followed by a walk around the estate: a very pleasant 2.5 km circuit, quite enjoyable with the students. One regret, however, regarding the educational signs along the circuit: they were very high and faded, making them difficult for the students to access and even harder for the adults to read. We had, however, picked up a very well-made educational booklet from the estate's website, which we would have liked to fill in with the information gathered along the way. Finally, a train ride, which the students enjoyed. Overall, a positive visit, but a bit pricey (€14 per student), with a slight drawback concerning the purely educational aspect.
