It had been a long time since I'd been to Villers, having lunch at Le Mermoz with a friend.
I can just picture some of the faces of those people eating beef tongue with spicy sauce and mashed potatoes... by the sea. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and the dish was piping hot.
It's very pleasant out of season. In peak season, I avoid it; it's too crowded. (Former Villers resident)

The place to be in Villers-sur-Mer!
We had a wonderful meal and the staff were very professional and friendly. They have two set menus with excellent value for money. Whether inside or outside in the sunshine, it was fantastic. We'll definitely be back.

The service needs improvement. The waiter was pushy in selling his steaks, and his attitude created an unpleasant atmosphere when we were there to enjoy a nice family meal. The roasted Camembert was small… at €30 per person, this isn't the service we expect.

I used to love the seafood platter, but yesterday, February 24th, I was very disappointed. The grey shrimp were mushy, the half-crab was waterlogged, and the inside of the crab was inedible. The oysters and whelks were okay. In short, I was extremely disappointed 😞. I spoke to the owner, who was honest enough to tell me that it wasn't his usual fish supplier. However, he offered no compensation. What a shame.

Restaurant very well located facing the sea.
Good food and quality dishes, but nothing exceptional and very high prices.
The manager is full of himself! The waitresses are pleasant and friendly.
A shame for a restaurant that claims to be upscale and uses paper napkins.
We won't be back.
